High-Pressure Die Casting

High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) is a manufacturing process that produces high-precision metal components by injecting molten metal into a steel die under high pressure.

This learning pathway takes you through the complete High Pressure Die Casting production process, from die and tooling design to final inspection. Through presentations and videos organised into five modules, you will explore the key technologies, equipment and quality principles that support efficient and reliable HPDC production.

Select by clicking on the Tooling Design & Making to explore the process step by step and build a clear understanding of how a sand casting is produced from the initial pattern to the final inspected component.
